Saturday, March 12th - Flea Market Trip
After breakfast on Saturday, we all made a trip to the largest flea
market in the area.
It was quite crowded as was to be expected since it is
only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday during this season.
Besides regular shoppers, the aisles were clogged with people
riding electric scooters, pushing walkers and using canes.
What I find hard to understand are the folks who bring
their dogs with them to such a congested place. Not only are they pushing Fido
around in a special dog buggy, they also have chest slings or tote bags which
they use to carry them around. I realize that people can get very attached to
their dogs, but I cannot understand why the pets are brought to such a crowded
place where they don’t even get to run around.
Even though none of us really needed anything, we did
find a few things to buy.
We returned to the condo for lunch and then made a quick
trip to the neighborhood swimming pool and hot tub.
Sunday, March 13th
My, how times flies when you are having fun! Our son,
Andy and his family returned home to Southern Maryland today. It seems like it
was just yesterday that they arrived to spend a week with us.
After we dropped them off at the airport midmorning, we
spent a good part of the day looking for geocaches. We always see interesting
things other than geocaches and today a dirigible flew over our heads.
We were caching in the Fort Myers/Bonita Springs area and
spent some time visiting the Florida Gulf Coast University campus.
Since this was a Sunday, it was easier to find a place to
park and we saw very few students walking around.
Oh NOOOO he's NOT! YOU are his FAVORITE drinking buddy! Is that little HQ tag looking to have photos taken at all it's travels? I like what you're doing with it!
